Gosiger’s West Coast applications expert answers a question about parts counting, asked by an Okuma turning machine user, in this video.
In fact, Okuma does have a resident parts counting function that is explained with step-by-step instructions. Not only does the application track the number of parts being made, it can also alert the machine operator when the maximum number of parts have been made from a piece of bar stock, so new material can be loaded.
In addition to this built in Okuma function, there are other APPs that can be installed to meet special needs, and some of these are also addressed in the video.
