Okuma APP Store Supported by Gosiger Featured at IMTS 2014
Just like the online sites you visit to download the latest APPs for your smart phones, tablets and computers, you can now access productivity-enhancing APPs for your Okuma CNC machines from the Okuma APP Store. You can also get a first-hand look at the APP Store in the Okuma booth at IMTS 2014.
According to Okuma:
“The App Store will be prominently featured at IMTS 2014, where attendees will be able to experience hands-on demonstrations and learn how to use machine tool apps. Attendees that participate in the App Store demonstrations at IMTS will be entered to win one of 6 Microsoft Surface tablets (one winner each day).”
Gosiger’s Aftermarket Support Department is an industry-leading developer of Windows®-based Apps using the Okuma THiNC API (Application Program Interface) and many of these APPs will be available through the Okuma APP Store.
In addition to these off-the-shelf APPs, custom APPs can be created to monitor and report on various machine tool activities, provide interfaces for peripherals like bar feeders, chip conveyors and high-pressure systems and more. They can also be designed to control robotic-based automation systems and other sophisticated operations.
Be sure to ask about the APP Store when visiting the Okuma booth at IMTS 2014. You can also learn more about custom APPs from Gosiger’s Aftermarket Support Department. Call them at 937-228-5174.
